Octouna is the eighth month of the year in the Vetus calendar, and consists of five nine-day weeks.

Octouna begins (astrologically) with the sun in the sign of Lupus and ends in the sign of Columba. Astronomically speaking, the sun begins in the constellation of Felis and ends in the constellation of Lupus.

Octouna is Archaic for "eighth moon," because the months in the Vetus calendar are lunar, and Octouna marks the final moon phase for the year.

Seasonally, Octouna is the second half of autumn for those in the northern hemisphere, and the second half of spring for those in the southern hemisphere. It is preceded by Sepuna and succeeded by Unaluna.
