Though relatively young, Nishkar already lived an active adventuring life from the time he was 20 until retiring at 23. He met Aislin early on in those travels, and aided her in her reise. Now a full druid with an established grove, Nishkar lives with his family and protects the forest surrounding his home from any ne'er-do-wells, whether mortal or otherwise.

Nishkar met Diyero and his friends when they ventured through his forest. Though he and Diyero started off on the wrong foot, the two groups soon partnered up in removing the evil spirit threat from the forest.

Grumpy and somewhat overprotective when the slayers first met him, Nishkar is actually quite kind and teasing in general; becoming a husband and father has brought his more protective side to light.

History[]

During the three short years he was an adventurer, Nishkar: met Aislin; fought evil spirits, demons and deranged mages; and was nearly killed on two separate occasions, resulting in his torso scars. These adventures were the result of his quest to become a full druid. While most Datong Leafchildren (druids-in-training) rarely need to venture far from home, Nishkar's vision quest led him all over Vestin, until he finally found the place for his grove in northern Duyugodiv.

Trivia[]

  • He is the oldest of 59 Datong cubs from six different litters.
  • The smaller scar on his torso is actually from an impale wound; the exit scar lies on his back, which is why it's never seen in-comic.
  • He is a Gadr’thuch - a type of berserker unique to the Datong. When in or near a berserking state, his eyes turn red, as seen in his first appearance.
